This is an active community of healthcare providers in Africa with the common goal of promoting Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), a lifesaving practice that involves placing a newborn baby skin-to-skin with their mother’s chest.

Across Africa, neonatal deaths are a heartbreaking reality. KMC offers a powerful weapon in this fight. The warmth, closeness, and ease of breastfeeding provided through KMC can dramatically improve a baby’s health, especially those born prematurely or with low birth weight.
