Join us for a comprehensive data analysis training using R, designed to bridge the knowledge gap for African medical students and health professional.
Background
The Federation of African Medical Students’ Association (FAMSA) is an independent, non-political federation of medical students associations in Africa. FAMSA is a project oriented medical student body, recognized by the WHO & the AU as the official international forum of African Medical Students.
The Standing Committee on Medical Education and Research (SCOMER) is one of the five Standing Committees of FAMSA concerned with coordinating and guiding the work of medical students in the field of medical education and research.
AFREDAC is a Pan-African peer-to-peer network committed to enhance evidence-based public health practices by fostering community engagement, leveraging technology, and disseminating knowledge. Through its digital platform (the Afredac Ubuntu Platform), it connects professionals from 25 African countries and across the globe to foster collaboration and innovation.
Why Is This Training Essential?
Despite the increasing demand for data-driven healthcare solutions, many African medical students lack comprehensive training in data analysis, particularly in using R, a critical tool in the global medical research landscape. This skills gap limits their ability to compete for prestigious global opportunities, such as internships, scholarships, and collaborative research. By providing specialized training in R programming, we are empowering students with essential data analysis skills that will significantly enhance their academic performance and open doors to impactful professional opportunities.
