This is an excellent and timely topic, Mercy! Africa has brilliant researchers, but challenges like limited infrastructure and implementation systems hinder precision medicine’s potential. To address this, we need to build genomic and data science capacity, foster collaborations for NGS sequencing, and invest in local talent through training. Combining local expertise with global partnerships will help make precision medicine accessible across the continent.

Thank you Nathan for your response, That is worth mentioning and I would also add that strengthening ethical frameworks for data sharing and genomic research is equally important to ensure equitable and responsible implementation.

Moreover, incorporating precision medicine into existing healthcare systems, especially in resource-limited settings would be innovative, but also Public-private partnerships and regional collaborations could play a significant role in addressing infrastructure gaps.
